This is a field sales role based from the Cambridgeshire area. The Business Development Specialist will boost the company's software and solutions sales to Public Sector customers. In this target driven position, the Business Development Specialist will consistently work towards identifying and securing new business opportunities to enhance renvenue growth and profitability. As well as developing high standard strategic sales plans in the aim of winning new accounts, the Business Development Specialist will form lasting and profitable business relationship both internally and externally. The successful Candidate will demonstrate a solid background in selling to Public Sector customers with the proven track record of consistently meeting sales targets.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Provide key assistance in the development of value propositions targeting Public Sector customers.
Evaluate and research the relevant market space to build relationship with influencers.
Identify and secure new business opportunities within existing accounts.
Efficient day to day management of sales activities targeting existing and new customers.
Design and execute strategic sales plans to gain revenue growth.
Apply outstanding industry knowledge and work towards identifying new customers.
Create and deliver targeted presentations / proposals to win new contracts / accounts.
Ensure that profitable relationships are maintained both internally and externally.
Be a trusted ambassador and represent the company appropriately at relevant functions.
Consistently work towards meeting and overachieving targets.
Extensive experience of meeting and overachieving sales targets.
Demonstrable track record of commitment and reliability.
It would be ideal to have previous software and managed service experience.
Previous experience of selling complex solutions.
Proven record of successfully selling to Public Sector customers.
Confident communication skills with the ability to negotiate.
Proven ability to create and execute high standard presentations.
Excellent organizational and prioritising skills.
Strong relationship building and influencing skills.
