The Software Developer will be responsible to carry out the development and design of made-to-order software for clients, using prominent programming languages like Java and C#. It is essential to have at least 2 years proven experience in a similar role and a strong knowledge of the full lifecycle of software design and development.

Responsibilities & Requirements


  • Use prominent programming languages such as C# and Java.
  • Responsible for the design and implementation of made-to-order software and products.
  • Create concise documentation for internal and external use.
  • Manage the company’s internal CRM system.
  • Maintain positive working relationship with all departments of the business.
  • Keep management team up to date on development and project progress.
  • Ensure that work is carried out within a specified time line.
  • Have an innovative approach to solving problems and reducing workloads.
  • Support colleagues in their progression plans and share knowledge.
  • Take instructions and work towards specifications from senior staff members.
  • Work towards guidelines and best practice set out by the company.
  • Show flexibility around the main duties and responsibilities.
  • Provide customers with guidance and ensure test environment is available.
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to continuously self-improve and acquire new skills.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.



  • Degree level education or industry specific qualification is essential.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of using C#, Java is required.
  • Demonstrable ability to produce user guides and method statements.
  • Previous, proven experience of overseeing the full lifecycle of software development.
  • Good knowledge of systems architectures.
  • At least 2 years’ experience of working with scripting languages (JavaScript).
  • Knowledge and understanding of Web Services and other development-related standards.
  • Exposure to web containers (Apache Tomcat, IIs or JBoss) would be desirable.
  • Experience of using MS SQL, MySQL or similar would be ideal but not essential.
  • Previous IDE experience would be advantageous (Eclipse, Visual studio).
  • Previous experience of Avaya Orchestration Designer or Voice Objects would be beneficial but not essential.
  • An excellent team player that shares knowledge and experience.
  • Confident and effective problem solver.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
