Overview

Our client, a global research and analytics provider, are looking for a Front Office Application Developer to join their team on a 6-month contract. The Application Developer will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining applications in areas of order/trade flow and risk management, whilst communicating effectively with key stakeholders in order to drive developmental work. Python experience is mandatory, and a basic understanding of VBA is required.

  • Assist clients with global strategic decisions to ensure standardisation of systems involved with their order and trade flow.
  • Ensure communication is maintained with clients in order to thoroughly understand their needs and requirements, creating tools in line with these.
  • Take ownership of designing, developing and enhancing/maintaining applications in areas  of order/trade flow and risk management.
  • Design, code, test and document programs.
  • Develop and offer front-line support for systems, and convert spreadsheets into strategic code base.

 

Requirements

  • Python experience is mandatory. Basic understanding of VBA is required.
  • Business knowledge including RATES, FX and REPOS is desirable.
  • Architect/ technology design skills capable of integrating tactical solutions into strategic builds.
  • Proven experience working with relational databases, such as Oracle or SQL.
  • Highly skilled in database connectivity to excel.
  • Accomplished in migration from Excel to MS Access/Python.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, written and verbal, in order to drive development work in coordination with key stakeholders.
  • Proven experience with front office products or risk technology/trading applications/hardcore investment banking.
  • Master’s degree in Finance or Technology is highly advantageous.

 

 

Other requirements:

  • Required to work from home during COVID pandemic. However will be required to work in Dublin once restrictions are eased.
