Responsibilities

• This role is UK Wide, with occasional travel to Preston.

• In line with the company’s current / future capacity requirements, contribute to the digital strategy’s short- and long-term roadmap for effective service delivery.
• Ensure alignment between the objectives and strategies for the Office 365 suite of products and the company’s objectives.
• Adopt best practice service delivery and safeguard the company’s infrastructure estate by working collaboratively with all subsidiaries.
• Gain an understanding of user’s requirements for application functionality.
• Maintain an overview of the IT landscape, being able to identify new/innovative technology that can be incorporated into the company to add value or improve service delivery.
• Maintain oversight of how other organisations are using Office 365 and their experiences, building an external network.
• Sustain regular contact with system suppliers, ensuring technical problems are referred as appropriate and solutions are implemented.
• In association with any major application project initiatives, partake in business analysis, leading on the solution design work.
• Ensure technically and functionally credible solutions are recognised and pursued by effectively working with and influencing colleagues within operational businesses.
• Take ownership of the solution development, liaising with application architect and project / programme managers daily.
• Offer expert guidance on workflow capability, developing, testing and maintaining to meet complex requirements.
• Focus on Incident, Problem and Change management when following best practice of ITIL v2 or v3 framework.
• Adhere to, and be in full support of, best practice frameworks, guidance, policies and procedures that outline standard ways of working and quality assurance.
• Ensure the delivery of well documented and high-quality application solutions.
• In conjunction with colleagues across the department, support the creation and documentation of system interfaces between Office 365 products and other core applications.
• Maintain oversight and management of policies, procedures and associated training plans for solutions delivered.
• Develop, create and manage high-quality training materials such as e-learning, manuals and training plans, in collaboration with the Technical Author.
• As required, arrange communications for all Office 365 system users.
• Offer recommendations on how to optimise the potential of Office 365 products to meet the needs of the business.
• Always abide by company policies and Data Protection requirements.
• Supervising others by coordinating and overseeing work as required to ensure effective project delivery.
• Develop, review and monitor project plans and objectives with colleagues, offering support and coaching where necessary. Respond to any performance issues in a timely manner appropriately.
• Ensure your team member’s relevant training, knowledge and skills are up to date.
• Champion the company brand, ensuring SPIRIT values are embedded throughout all aspects of work.  
• Ensure excellent customer experience is delivered daily, driving a culture of delivery, innovation, shared responsibility, continuous improvement and individual accountability.
• Manage resources effectively throughout all aspects of the role, always maintaining a cost-conscious approach.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office 365 Application suite product development (including Forms, Power Automate, SharePoint, Power Apps and Powershell).
• Proven experience of multiple Office365 project deployments.
• Ability to create intuitive and sophisticated Office 365 Application solution designs by translating complex business requirements.
• Previously supported the successful delivery of technical projects.
• History of supporting technical projects, from concept to completion, delivering on time and in line with best practice governance.
• Must have experience working with PRINCE2 and Agile methodologies.
• Understanding of ITIL framework.
• Previously worked in blue chip or large organisations is advantageous.
• Exposure to project management delivery methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2 and Waterfall.
• Must be a pro-active, effective, and supportive team member with a ‘can do’ attitude.
• Able to develop and maintain strong and collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Be analytical when facing problems and offer solutions.
• Able to work well under pressure, manage own priorities and meet deadlines.
