Overview

Our Client is looking for a motivated and dynamic Network Engineer to joing their growing team. As well as contributing to the successful technical delivery of a number of complex projects, the Network Engineer will liaise and keep in touch with clients to ensure excellent working relationships. As well as carrying out vital network assesment and key fault finding, the Network Engineer will produce accurate and concise documentation for both internal and external use. CCNA / Juniper / Palo Alto certifications would be highly advantageous for this role, as well as strong knowledge of Cisco technologies.


Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the successful technical delivery of a number of complex projects from installation to testing and troubleshooting.   
  • Work closely with various departments of the business to ensure efficiency.
  • Carry out vital assessment work including surveys and audits.
  • Proactively work towards client satisfaction, carry out fault finding and escalate issues appropriately.  
  • Liaise and keep in touch with clients to ensure excellent working relationships.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Take ownership of the timely and high-quality delivery of solutions.
  • Attend customer / client sites within the UK.
  • Maintain clear communication between clients and the technical team.
  • Take pride in own knowledge and continuously keep up to date with the latest technologies and trends.
  • Provide technical expertise and produce accurate, concise documentations for internal and external use.

 

Requirements

  • CCNA (or equivalent) accreditation would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience of configuring, troubleshooting and deploying Cisco technologies.
  • Strong Cisco Wireless knowledge (configuring would be highly advantageous).
  • Cisco IOS and IOS-XR experience.
  • Strong risk assessment abilities.
  • Data centre work experience would be beneficial, as well as strong patching and cabling skills.
  • Experience of carrying out network assessment and / or wireless surveys would be ideal.
  • Persisting by nature with ability to meet deadline and deliver results.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of scripting (Linux Bash and Python).
  • Good basic knowledge of IP protocols such as BGP, OSPF and EIGRP.
  • Cisco Switching & Routing knowledge - Cisco Catalyst, Nexus and ISRs.
  • The ability to produce easy to understand technical guides.
  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills.
  • Security cleared or willing to obtain.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
