The Sales Engineer will provide technical support and consultancy to both the Sales team and end users. As well as taking ownership of and overseeing all technical activities throughout the sales process, the Sales Engineer will ensure that Clients and Customers are provided with sufficient product training to guarantee successful installation and handover. Whilst ensuring that proof of concept and demonstration is carried out both internally and externally, the Sales Engineer will continuously evaluate product suitability to potential new customers. It is highly advantageous to have strong Service Provider background for this role and the ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience of working with Access and IP Technology.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Offer technical support to the sales team during sales calls.
Offer hands-on pre-sales technical support.
Ensure to provide partners and end users first time installation technical support.
Effectively manage and pass on technical knowledge to partners during pre-sales.
Accurately manage the need for the company’s products in line and against the customers’ requirements.
Provide hands-on product demonstrations and presentations, showing an in-depth knowledge of the products.
Manage pre and post sales technical support and training to customers.
Lead on technical responses.
Attend marketing events to offer technical assistance as needed (e.g. road shows, seminars etc.)
Take ownership of complete process of interoperability tests, liaising between customers and the company, including CPE interoperability tests in the region.
Responsible for Proof of concept activities in Benelux.
Evidence of working in professional VOIP and data networking field for 2 – 5 years.
Must be Diploma educated in IT, Telecoms, Electrical Engineering or other associated areas.
Familiarity and experience with MSFT or Cisco (or equivalent).
Demonstrable knowledge of telecommunication systems.
Proven experience in SIP protocol.
Solid knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Skype for Business, contact Centre solutions, and PC environment.
Ability to travel across the region on a regular basis to visit customers and partners.
Must be fluent in English and demonstrate excellent presentation skills.
Show sound understanding of technical component in sales and demonstrate technical leadership.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and build relationships with partners and customers alike.
