Overview

Our Client, a successful Customer Analytics Software company, are looking for a Business Development Executive to join their team. The successful candidate will be for creating revenue opportunities for the sales field directors, whilst building and maintaining relationships with key players. Previous experience of sales within the software industry is highly desirable for this role, with experience in marketing or business.


Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inbound and outbound revenue opportunities
  • In collaboration with assigned directors, create and take ownership of development plans.
  • Create efficient and professional voice mail and email messaging.
  • Effectively articulate the organisation’s value proposition, having a robust understanding of this.
  • Adopt a keenness to achieve in all aspects to create opportunities.
  • Participate in presentations via the web; and occasionally attend tradeshows.
  • Be able to make 50+ calls a day to potential revenue opportunities.
  • Liaise with marketing to evaluate room for improvement and create a plan to implement these improvements.
  • Be able to work well in a fast-paced team environment.

 

Requirements

  • Must have proven experience or training in business or sales within the software industry.
  • A degree in business or marketing is highly advantageous.
  • Show a willingness to perform cold and warm calls with the ability to triage leads as needed.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to build rapport with people to influence key decisions.
  • Strong organisational skills, showing the ability to set own daily activity, set own goals and achieve them successfully.
  • Must demonstrate enthusiasm and self-starting attitude.
  • Show a willingness to be coached and mentored and able to take direction.
  • Strong presence and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to make own decisions and think on your feet, whilst being open to guidance.
