The role focuses on the management and maintenance of the company’s Network and Server Infrastructure to support customers and core business functions. The ideal Candidate must have strong background in Cisco Networking and Virtualisation environments. As well as demonstrating an excellent knowledge of Windows Servers and Infrastructure, the successful Candidate must have experience of WAN / LAN networking and BGP Network management. Role requires flexible approach to remote working and visiting client sites.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Provide key support with the day to day management and maintenance of the company’s network and server infrastructure to support customers and core business functions.
Make sure that a reliable infrastructure is in place to support business efficiency and growth.
Carry out system monitoring and regularly review performance to identify issues / problems.
Work towards SLAs and ensure the timely management of incident escalations.
Create and manage technical documentations.
Ensure minimum impact on customers and clients whilst carrying out change / developments.
Provide technical support to the help desk team and act as point of contact for escalations.
Develop and implement change for system productivity when needed.
Work closely with various departments of the business to ensure continuous service enhancements.
Keep up to date with the latest technology trends and relevant infrastructure.
Continuously look to further own skillset.
Previous background in LAN / WAN Networking and BGP Network Management.
Proven Cisco Networking experience and virtualisation experience (VMware vSphere).
Excellent knowledge and previous experience of Windows Server and Infrastructure (AD, PowerShell, Scripting, RADIUS, DHCP, LDAP, DNS and Certificate services).
Familiarity with and experience of using Network Monitoring systems such as Nagios, Zabbix Spiceworks.
Good knowledge of IT security concepts and ISO27001.
Good knowledge and understanding of ITIL, as well as industry best practice.
Experience in centralised storage systems and environments would be ideal.
Knowledge and experience of backup technologies.
Proven experience of working with Windows Desktops Operation System.
Excellent testing and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong team player with the ability to work on own initiative when needed.

It would be advantageous to have experience with and knowledge of telephony platforms such as Avaya.
