Overview

The Business Intelligence Developer will primarily focus on data governance, maintenance and reporting of the company’s database. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of MS Power BI and SSRS to support in the build of the database’s frontend visuals. As well as providing ongoing support and guidance to customers, the BI Developer must have direct contact centre experience in order to understand the specific data types and reports.


Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • The BI Developer will be responsible for the company’s reporting database.
  • The role will involve frontend development, data governance, reporting and maintenance of the database.
  • Use tools such as Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft SSRS to support in the build of the database’s frontend visuals.
  • Get involved in business analysis activities.
  • Provide ongoing support and consultancy to customers to demonstrate product capability.
  • Develop data visualisation and Power BI reports.
  • Translate business requirements into clear specifications.
  • Provide assistance to ensure reports and dashboards are available for internal and external users.
  • Ensure change controls and proper configuration management is implemented.
  • Provide guidance and support to more junior members of the team.
  • Adhere to all company procedures and processes.
  • Act as a professional company representative at all times.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in BI & report development using Power BI & SSRS & SQL databases (direct contact centre experience would be highly advantageous).
  • Experience of developing and implementing large scale business intelligence reports and dashboards.
  • Great web development skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience of working with and analysing contact centre data.
  • Strong experience with the hosted Azure platform.
  • Contact centre report building experience and a good knowledge of the contact centre industry.
  • Good understanding of contact centre dynamics and cost driving activities.
  • Experience of building bespoke visualisations and UI design in languages such as HTML5 etc.
  • Good understanding of data modelling concepts and data integration issues.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
