Overview

Our Client is a Global provider of managed services. The Head of Network Operations is responsible for ensuring that the company’s Network Infrastructure performance meets the required standard and new projects are delivered within budget and on time. As well as developing and implementing best practice procedures to ensure continuous and efficient monitoring of service quality, The Head of Network Operations must ensure internal compliance. With a proven track record in setting and meeting KPIs and Service Level Agreements, the successful Candidate must have significant experience in working for a Telecoms Manufacturer or Operator and must demonstrate strong technical understanding of Network Infrastructure and Monitoring. Applicants must already be based in the Channel Island or have the capacity to relocate. Our Client offers a generous relocation allowance, as well as hands-on assistance.


Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities

  • The Head of Network Operations is responsible for the high-level performance of the company’s Network Infrastructure and the quality of services provided.
  • Overseeing the delivery of new projects, their budget and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Follow industry standards and provide continuous operational efficiency.
  • Proactively review internal best practice and implement improvements when necessary.
  • Develop and implement an effective monitoring service to evaluate the service being delivered.
  • Ensure that the quality of service provided meets required standard.
  • Responsible for setting and meeting KPI targets and Service Level Agreements.
  • Produce key reports on quality of service and present internally at all levels.
  • Provide support to Service Delivery Teams with planning and maintaining the right technical resources and personnel.  
  • Forecast accurately and manage project budget effectively.
  • Take charge of Business Continuity & Critical Incident management and resolution.
  • Ensure that the required level of staffing is maintained throughout the project.
  • Continuously review project progress and ensure compliance to enable project delivery.
  • Lead by example and promote a positive working environment.

 

Requirements

  • Previous work experience within a Telecoms Manufacturer and/or Operator.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the industry and its operational requirements.
  • Understanding Networking and Network monitoring form a technical perspective.
  • Proven team leader / people management experience.
  • Successful track record in operations management.
  • Ability to bring new ideas with a creative mindset.
  • Proven track record in successfully managing KPIs and meeting company objectives.
  • Ability to implement and follow functioning internal best practice.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator.
  • A natural leader with ability to coach, mentor and nurture talent.
  • Demonstrable ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to make positive business decisions quickly.
  • Proven ability to build and manage a structured operations team.
  • Customer focused.
  • Ability to create and deliver high standard presentations to various audiences.
  • Desire to continuously improve own skills and knowledge.
  • Flawless English language skills both verbal and written.
