The Sales Director will be responsible for developing and successfully implementing sales strategies to maximize profitability. As well as understanding the target customer base and the market, the Sales Director will oversee and manage the performance of the sales team. In this diverse role, the Sales Director will be responsible for the full life cycle of the sales process as well as the successful negotiation and closure of business deals. To be successful in this role, it is essential to have a strong knowledge of the telecommunication industry with proven leadership and performance management skills.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Successfully develop and implement sales and business development strategies.
Understand the target customer base to maximize productivity, ROI and sales.
Undertake various budgeting and planning exercise to support directors.
Maintain successful and trusting business relationship with partners and clients.
Strong market awareness through business mapping.
Responsible to set and manage expectations based on company KPI.
Manage and oversee the full life cycle of the sales process.
Identify upselling opportunities through regular account reviews and management.
Manage the performance of the sales team and offer coaching where appropriate.
Responsible for the closure of new deals as well as pricing and negotiating.
Understand the market and technology around the company’s products and services.
Ensure that the sales team is performing to the required standards.
Carry out forecasting and strategic sales planning to ensure business growth.
Offer ongoing support and assistance to existing partners to secure future business opportunities.
Create reports and deliver presentations on sales performance.
Strong knowledge of the IT and Telecommunication industry.

Degree level education would be ideal.
