Overview

The Test Manager will be responsible for system test activities within Waterfall and Agile environments. As well as ensuring the efficient running and continuous development of the quality assurance team, the Test Manager will create detailed and thorough manual test scripting for functional and non-functional use. Successful team management experience is required for this position.


Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Management of the performance and development of the quality assurance team.
  • Full ownership for system test activities within Waterfall and Agile environments.
  • Evaluate and develop test plants, scripts, execution reports,
  • Carry out defect reporting and management whilst also recording root cause analysis.
  • Recognize issues and see them through to resolution.
  • Provide internal and external project personnel with test reports in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with both internal and external project personnel to resolve issues / defects.
  • Provide customers with support during the User Acceptance Test stage.
  • Develop a log for issues and ensure the effective management of that all the way to resolution.
  • Create thorough manual test scripting for both functional and no functional requirements.

 

Requirements

  • Wide ranging testing experience including Web Services / Process Flows, Web / Mobile / Standalone Applications and SQL areas.
  • Confident communicator.
  • Ability to provide vital testing support to clients on site and remotely.
  • Proven ability to understand the quality assurance process.
  • Familiarity with and understanding of networking fundamentals.
  • Must have a valid ISEB / ISTQB System Testing Foundation certificate.
  • Excellent organizer with strong task management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively on own initiative and within a team.
  • Strong Team Management and motivating abilities.
  • Previous Agile & Scrum experience.
  • Genuinely passionate about technology and self-development.
  • Ability to effectively listen and communicate with customers / clients.
  • Keen eye for detail with analytical mindset.
  • Ability to work on a number of projects / tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrable ability to work well under pressure whilst meeting tight deadlines.
