Our Client, a global provider of IT and Telecommunications solutions, is looking for an outstanding Technical Design Authority to join their team. The position is based on our Client's customer site in the Essex area. The successful Candidate will be responsible for carrying out wide-ranging technical design work on Clients' security and network architecture. As well as being in charge of client CAB, the TDA will work closely with internal technical teams and third-party stakeholders in order to carry out necessary service enhancements and to ensure smooth product delivery. As a direct contact for technical and architectural issues, the successful Client will become a trusted advisor to Clients. Applicants must have significant knowledge and experience in Cisco Networking and hold CCNA Switching & Routing certification as a minimum requirement.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Responsible for carrying out wide-ranging technical design work on Clients’ Security and Network architecture.
Head Client CAB and ensure they are aware of risks in relation to change requests.
Play a key part in major incident resolution.
Know Clients’ business needs and current strategy to be able to advise on suitable technology.
Effectively managing communication between parties to fulfil client requests in a timely manner.
Ensure that Clients’ System and Network documentations are accurate, continuously maintained and meet required standard.
Carry out key data analysis and provide recommendation on results.
Define agreed practices with technical teams and ensure all SLAs are maintained throughout delivery.
Work with technical teams to oversee and ensure the smooth delivery of client projects.
Create easy to understand and reliable plans for clients on volume and accessibility.
Use internal resources to create road maps and present clients with new technologies.
Support teams with defining key project deliverables and set requirements.
Supply reports on progress of project delivery and outline any potential challenges.
Provide reliable technical support to the company’s clients.
Keep in touch with stakeholders in the aim of carrying out service and solutions enhancements.
Demonstrable Cisco Networking skills.
Cisco Certifications would be highly advantageous.
Familiarity with and previous exposure to Data Centres.
Knowledge of Microsoft applications.
Experience and / or knowledge of working within end client environments.
Good knowledge of ITIL V3 & TOGAF V9 practices and procedures.
Proven track record in working within a managed service environment (enterprise).
Strong all-around understanding of Network and Security technologies and providers.
Demonstrable technical documentation skills.
Excellent relationship management skills.
Successful track record in building lasting client relationships.
Experience of working with IT Service Management systems such as ServiceNow and Remedy.
Strong communication skills, as well as excellent numerical abilities.
A high level of business acumen and the ability to guide and motivate a team.
